"I'd been looking for tulips from a Dutchman for two or three years. Luckily, he came to my garden!" During the inauguration of the new tulip collection in the garden of the painter André van Beek, the resident of Saint-Paul near Beauvais (Oise) took the opportunity on Friday, March 28, to present his winter productions to his regulars.
They were given a sneak preview of the 23 flowerbeds featuring the Netherlands' national flower. No fewer than 12,000 bulbs were planted in just over 15 days, some of which are just beginning to bloom.

"I'm not panicking," says the 77-year-old painter. "You'll have to come around April 10 because the bulbs will flood the garden with color. It's going to be great because everything will bloom at the same time." But you can already enjoy the paths of this 1.5-hectare space since Thursday, April 3, and it will remain open until Friday, October 31.
